The length of PS(in terms of x) is the sum of the lengths of line segments(PQ,QR and RS)

Length of PS = PQ + QR + RS = x+3+2x-1+7 = 3x+9(Option D)

$$PS = PQ + QR + RS$$

$$PS = (x+3) + (2x-1) + (7)$$

$$PS = x + 3 + 2x - 1 + 7$$

$$PS = 3x + 9$$
