In the figure shown, two identical squares are inscribed in the rectangle. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 18√2, then what is the perimeter of each square?

A. 8√2
B. 12
C. 12√2
D. 16
E. 18

It should be B.
the two squares are inscribed in equal subrectangles which are also squares. the sum of three sides of each subrectangle is 18sqrt2 / 2 / 3= 3 sqrt 2. Through Pythgorean theorem find the side of an inscribed square equal to 3. Finally, 3*4 = 12
