In the past, portable computers were expensive, not very powerful, and heavy to carry. For these reasons, not that many were bought by consumers. As technology advances, these computers are becoming cheaper, more powerful and even lighter.

Ans: E [IMO]
A. desktop computers are not the point of discussion here.
B. Wearable computers : Not discussed
C. Stem talks about three factors and does not put any one as most important
D. stem says in past costly computers were not bought much so its negative

IMO E is making sense to be the conclusion .

Three reasons are given why portable computers were not bought by many consumers.. If these reasons are removed we can conclude that it is quite likely sales ll increase.... When we predict something we must think of chances.. We can never be sure of ceratainity... Any time new factors can pop in to counter the likelihood of happening of an event... So word likely is the key here

in past, consumer didn't buy portable computer because of heavy weight, less power and expensive. But technological advancement makes these portable computers easy to carry, more powerful and cheaper. It is quite likely that sale of these portable computer will rise.

E is answer which is very close to given logic.
