In the xy—plane, is the x—intercept of the line L positive?

(1) Line passes through (—4, —2)

(2) Slope of the line L is negative.

EG

(1) Line passes through (—4, —2)
So the point is in third quadrant..
If the slope is POSITIVE, it is possible that x-intercept is positive.
If the slope is negative, the line will never be in quadrant I, so always NO
Insufficient

(2) Slope of the line L is negative.
Nothing much
Insufficient

Combined
Always no as line will never cross quadrant I
Sufficient
