Is (xy -y) =even ? Yes /No

(1) x and y are consecutive numbers.
We can have x=2, y=3
(2(3)- 3) = odd
OR x=3 ,y=2 (3(2)-2) =even
( Not sufficient )

(2) y is odd
No info about x can be odd/even

(1+2) we know y is odd ,x must be even since the are consecutive
Sufficient (xy-y) =Odd So Nope it’s odd
