a fixed question bank must have equal proportions of easy/medium/hard questions? so about 10 hard questions per section?

Not sure, how you drew this inference. Also, understand that a fixed mock is 70%-80% as accurate as an adaptive mock, as long as it tests the right testing items.

It is not exact. You can have the same Overall Score with different scaled scores and you can have the same exact scaled scores result into different overall. That is becuase different calculations are used to arrive to these.

They are close enough I feel based on the feedback I have seen. You can check the Share GMAT Experience sub-forum for practice scores people shared

You can use this search string: search.php?keywords=kaplan&terms=phrase&fid%5B%5D=8&author=&sc=1&sk=t&sd=d&d_s=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sj=one&t=0&submit=Search

07-Mar |GMAT PREP 4 | 710 | 50 | 35
11-Mar |Kaplan 1 | 710 | 49 | 39
13-Mar |Kaplan 2 | 670 | 49 | 33
15-Mar |Kaplan 3 | 670 | 49 | 33
18-Mar |GMAT PREP 5 | 680 | 50 | 31
22-Mar |GMAT PREP 6 | 690 | 51 | 31

Seems pretty accurate compared to GMAT Prep, maybe a bit low-balling the score by 20 points but that’s hard to tell. from-540-cold-mock-to-740-q50-v40-in-3-months-385843.html

Manhattan prep 100%

Manhattan review is unfortunately getting most of its business due to the similar name

Nikola121, don’t waste too many OG. For quant, burn all you want because it doesn’t matter a ton. But for verbal, SC in particular, those are the only ones you can trust. Use the questions to help practice and affirm your skills. Do NOT use them to build your skills. Taking a course/reading a book to build your fundamentals first is crucial. At that point, fully blind reviewing them (see my CR guide for an explanation on what this is) will determine how high a score you can get

Nikola121, fine approach as long as you are using the questions to test whether you know the subjects and not to use them as the exclusive source for your knowledge-building

Nikola121, Here is my CR guide. If you pattern how I recommend you study for CR to your other components (SC, RC, DS, and PS) you will be fine: mod-nightblade-s-quick-guide-to-cr-proficiency-295316.html#p2272709

Kikiiii, I would recommend looking into a course or tutor. Also, the book I posted here should cover the basics

So you would do some chapters in mprep first and then the questions?
