Hi,
I am supposed to take my GMAT (2nd attempt) tomorrow after 2 months of preparation. I scored 660 in my earlier attempt ( Q: 47, V:34). I wanted to score above 720+ in this attempt.
However, i scored a 690 (Q: 49, v:34) in GMAT prep 1 and took my 2nd GMAT prep yesterday and got a mere 600 (Q: 47, v:27).
I was shocked after seeing my low score and my confidence is down to rock bottom and i am not ready to take my test tomorrow.
SOME BACKGROUND INFO:
in my earlier attempt, i took all the
MGMAT practice tests and got a 680 and 690 consistently and my GMAT prep score was 710 in both the tests. However, i scored only a 660 in my real GMAT. My quant score was 47, which was low. i also took about 15 of the
GMAT club tests and i used to average around 27- 28.
In my second attempt, i took my remaining
GMAT club tests and scored 30 consistently in the last 5 tests.
Real Issue:
To be frank, i am good conceptually in both math and verbal. However, i always used to make about 4 silly mistakes in math and my SC accuracy was close to 60 %, CR accuracy was 70% and RC used to wary greatly from 30 % to 90 % (not sure why??).
I desperately need some sound advice. I used to study for atleast 3 hours a day till yesterday and will be able to spend 3hours a day.
I just feel that i am banging my head with eyes closed against a wall. I just need to find a way to get to that score.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

The 600 is most probably an aberration. If you take GMAT right away, you will probably score around 650-700. The deciding factor would obviously be Verbal since your Quant is pretty stable at 47-49.
Bad News: To ensure a 720+, you need to get a 750+ on GMAT prep tests. From what I have seen, in actual GMAT, people get around 30-50 points less than their GMAT prep tests scores. I guess we can blame the nerves for the dip.
Good News: You know exactly what you can do to get that 720.
First of all, you need to practice RC. You cannot afford anything below 80% accuracy on RC and CR. I wouldn't complain with a 60-70% accuracy on SC.
Your Quant is at Q47. Try and push it to Q50 which is not going to be easy. Try and identify one or two areas where you make most mistakes. Try fortifying them. In addition, I like to tackle some higher level concepts in my blog so check that out. You might pick a tip or two from there. Also, avoid those 'silly mistakes'. Double check the question and answer and see if the answer you got seems reasonable. Since you are conceptually strong, I doubt time in Quant would be an issue.
