Anyone know if/when a more detailed BDW schedule will be released?

The schedule is available on the admitted students website already.

Right, I found that but the only times it has are a 1:30 start on Friday, mingle at 2pm, a 9am start on Saturday and a ending time of 2 on Sunday. I am wondering if specific times for the various events will be available beforehand.

How do you log into the new students site, I can't figure it out for whatever reason. Anyone know the dress code for BDW.

I applied for HSM certificate program in R2, and got waitlisted.
I saw from last year's thread that if I get in off the waitlist too late so that I can't participate in the courses in July (specific for HSM), I can take those course before the second year. Wouldn't that then overlap with the internship??

I have a question about school choice. I am fortunate enough to get admited by both UCLA and Duke. I want to do consulting in the future, but hopefully west coast (closer to my family and friends). Duke seems to have a strong consulting area and UCLA has a good retentation rate in California. Any opinions? (From statistics, Duke only has 13% of graduates go to the west. I wonder if that's by personal choice, or demographic limitation?)

CXUE that is most likely by personal choice. I am a So Cal person myself and will be attending Duke in the fall with intention of staying in consulting. From my experiences with all consulting companies, unless they are regional companies, it is easy to get your offer out of any region you prefer. If you cannot, you are usually able to transfer offices after a year.

I think both schools with be able to get you into consulting. I think the real question is, where do you want to spend the next 2-3 years of your life.

Thanks!! I noticed that some major consulting companies (like Mckinsey) does not actively recruit on UCLA campus. I guess that's where the doubt started. Of course I would prefer the California air. (Durham is wonderful too. I actually already lived in the region for almost 3 years.) But MBA is such a signifnicant investment that I really want to get the most out of it. Thanks for your advice!!

Fuqua's placement in consulting is better than UCLA, no doubt. But if you want to work in California, UCLA would be a better choice. No one out of the 3 classes (2011-2013) I know got California offices. BCG straight up told a closed-listed interviewee to not drop for the San Francisco office if he wants a job. He ended up with an offer to another BCG office. The California and NYC offices are the most competitive offices to get into. To get in, you need alumni in high enough positions to pull for the school. Kinda like a chicken and egg problem. Since, we are an young school in the East Coast, our consulting alumni network isn't that strong in the West Coast. With that said, Fuqua places especially well into the Southern offices, and reasonably well into other East Coast offices (including NYC).

I actually know someone who graduated last year and is at Bain or BCG in LA. It might be harder to get the office immediately, but definitely should be possible to transfer after a year or two.

How does Ross compare to Fuqua in this regard? Deciding between the two, and am in this same boat of trying to get into consulting back in the West Coast (SF, hopefully). Sounds like it could be quite difficult to get back here straight out of school.
