TOFEL is easy. I have passed in 2010 TOFEL exam with high score.

I think it is easy to build good score in IELTS as compared to TOEFL.
Although both are better and have same importance here.
Btw the article explained more briefly.

This might not apply to everyone, but I think if you are more used to American TV shows and movies, TOEFL should be easier than IELTS.

Both TOEFL and IELTS are better, IMO. I have a friend who took both although passed in IELTS but she failed 2 points in TOEFL.

Well, must universities in USA accept Toefl, while Ielts is accepted in UK and Australia. So we have no choice, and we need to take the type of test that the university only accept.

Hi guys,

I was accepted in London Business School's MBA programme beginning in August 2014 and I was like many of you indecisive about which english test I should take during my application process. I applied to two mba programmes in Europe (LBS and IESE) and two in the US (Harvard and Wharton).

I decided to take the TOEFL since it's the most recognised exam worldwide (in terms of Bschool). For instance, if I had done the IELTS it wouldn't be recognised in Harvard. Thus if anyone is going to begin this long journey of applying to an MBA I'd go for the TOEFL.

Further to this, I advice anyone doing the TOEFL to look at Notefull's website: https://av107.isrefer.com/go/nfh/rsn64160/

There's a lot of great stuff there for free (great videos for the speaking section). In my case in particular I had a great help from Notefull with the Speaking and Writing sections and was able to score 111/120. Notefull has undoubtedly helped me achieve the threshold I needed for top business schools.

Apart from the free materials, there are a lot of paid courses (not that expensive). You can check them here: https://av107.isrefer.com/go/toefl-products/rsn64160/

Good luck to everyone!!

Cheers, Ricardo

Yes IELTS is more better then TOFEL but we can not decide which one should we choose because every test has its own purposes and value.

Because IELTS still has the 'human' factor especially in the speaking part, for some candidates this seems a bit easier. The IELTS examiners are there to help the candidate show off his or her full potential.

With some expert advice, one can reach a higher score (+ 0.5 or even +1.00) just by practicing some crucial strategies.

TOEFL opens more doors for international students in my opinion, and can be used for straight graduate (non-MBA, but MA or MS programs, as well).
