Thanks! I did go through these reports before applying and multiple times thereafter. I also checked the linkedin profiles of alums and current students. Both are almost equally good schools. The edge with Goizueta is its exceptional placement numbers. On the other hand, I have seen a lot of UNC graduates working for not so known firms after graduation and during their internship. The number is quite huge probably due to their large class size. Looking at the consulting and finance numbers what would you say gives a better picture - the absolute number of people going into these jobs or the percentage. I know Emory would loose out if I look at absolute number. What works in the favor of absolute numbers is - bigger network in the company/industry/function and the ability of the school to send a large number of people to a firm. Thoughts?
Also, poll seems to give tie as well.
Based on (a) their improving placement stats and (b) the P&Q article, I just have a sense that Emory places a greater emphasis on getting ALL of their students the best jobs possible than UNC does. UNC's a tremendous school and will definitely afford you great opportunities, but I just think that Emory has a stronger career services office that will work harder to get you your dream job.
