The way I understand it is the school that you are waiting to hear back from has already made a decision on you. If you were admitted then they can draft you. But perhaps someone else has a better insight on the draft.

That's correct, above.
So, if you've been waitlisted at one school, and are waiting to hear from another (presuming you've interviewed), you'd be waiting to hear about whether or not the school you HAVEN'T yet heard from will admit you and give you a fellowship (read: "draft" you into their Class of 2017 fellowship class).
Can you get accepted to the school but not offered a fellowship?
Absolutely. You can get into the school and not be offered the fellowship. However, you can still be offered Consortium membership without the fellowship. The school will likely let you know if they've given you the fellowship and or membership when they call you.
So, people are anticipating starting to hear back from schools and or the consortium after 48 hours?
Well, per previous threads, some schools (and I do mean SOME, not all) started calling students the evening after the draft, or first thing Wednesday morning, after the draft. So chances are good that calls will start going out on Wednesday, if not tomorrow night.
My anxiety is through the roof. Now I'm replaying my past interviews which is cringe-worthy. I want to declare my undying love for Ross, Tuck, and Tepper. Don't leave me hanging tomorrow guys.
lol, i've gone from "yea' i'm getting in to nyu/ucla" to "omg, no other school is going to accept me!". I was so sure some folks would hear SOME thing today....so now i 'm going to think of wed. Ross has already said they are calling all domestic candidates that got in on Wednesday (including non-cgsm). so there's that hard deadline at least.
