Good luck tomorrow everyone. I think we will hear from a bunch of school (probably the #1 ranked)....and I'm pretty sure NYU will be updating as well. I can't believe how nervous I am.

I also just want to know where I'm going so I can apply for these Pre-MBA internships....they tend to ask which school you are attending.

Which ones are you looking at? I've also been looking into pre-mba brand management programs

the pg one (which you can do without knowing for sure) and the bain & mckinsey diversity things (not quite an internship but useful i think)

I'm looking at the same ones! I thought for the pg brand camp you had to know which school already. If that's the case I'll apply now

i started the app. it didn't ask me for a specific school. Haven't completed it yet bc i need the right amount of time to take the reasoning test.
Yes start it, it says it's a rolling decision so the earlier the better!

This process makes one behave irrationally.

I KNOW that until I get an email with a message that my status has changed. I will keep seeing

Thank you for interviewing with NYU Stern. Your application is in the final stages of review by the Admissions Committee. Please allow up to three weeks from the date of your interview to receive a decision.

on my status page. So i'm better of concentrating on work. But no - i keep logging in and checking every 20 mins. It is going to be a long day!

Anyone, expecting Haas to announce Round 2 Decisions before the date of the deadline? I heard from Yale very quickly. They have been fast with everything. I am not sure if schools usually wait till the last day, and send dings and make calls, etc...

These next two weeks are going to be miserable!

Based on the thread last year and what others have pointed out, there is a chance you'll hear from Haas this week if you get selected for a fellowship.

Cool. At this point, I just need to get in somewhere. A fellowship is not really on my radar. I have one waitlist, and three applications at schools that I interviewed at still pending. Unfortunately, the wait list is from the lowest ranked school that I applied to, which is not a great confidence builder...

Thank you for the info.

haha I feel you. Although I'm admitted at my lowest ranked consortium school and a Real Estate Masters Program at Columbia but I still am on ice until I get a decision on my others!

Well, at least you are in one. That is a lot better than being in zero! I have never worked as hard at something as hard as I have on the GMAT and these apps, etc...

So, I was wondering about that. It is interesting that you got into a school you ranked last. I can't help but think I might have gotten into Yale if I had ranked them one. I know people say the rankings don't affect decisions, but I can't imagine that is true. Why would they waste an acceptance on you if they don't think you will enroll? I think Ross does not see the way you ranked schools, but most of the rest of them do...

Could be wishful thinking on my part. I suppose a wait list is well better than a "no."

Yeah - I only applied to three schools to the consortium as I the other 15 member schools didn't make the cut. It took a lot of soul searching to cut down my list but I felt more comfortable applying to 3 or less schools. I was surprised when I got interviews for my 2,3 ranked schools as my consortium essays were really tailored to my first choice!

PS, all schools can see the rankings, some just use them different in the admissions process!

I think all schools see the rankings. Why leave something up to chance when you have data that is freely accesible to manage your rankings? We showed our hand (in regards to Consortium schools) in exchange for a shot at being "drafted". It isn't unethical for them to look at it and it would be nonsensical for them to not look at rankings. There seem to be patterns by almost every school indicating that they see the rankings and incorporate them into their decisions. This year especially Ross and Yale have had 30% increases in apps....you don't think they looked at them?

Good luck everyone. Back to these apps tonight.

I think you are asking me if I don't think they looked at them? Yes, I assumed that they look at the rankings as a way to gauge interest and are very concerned with their own yield...

BTW I like how you put that... "Showed our hand for a shot at being drafted..."

Hopefully, the school that you put #1 views it as a positive!

Quiet day. I'm speculating it's because of the draft tomorrow. I'm sure there is some travel or preparations involved from the ad coms.
It's the calm before the storm. Decisions coming soon. This whole process has proven that I'm much more impatient than I originally thought. I keep repeating Kipling's words to no avail.
"If you can wait, and not be tired by waiting.."

I am sure this has been discussed at length, but can anyone explain to me how it works with the draft if you have not been accepted yet to any consortium schools? For example, I am wait listed at one and waiting to hear from another one that I interviewed at...

Does this hurt my chances of getting drafted?
