Does anyone know how fellowship notification will work? Emory adcom told me yesterday that the "NFL draft" meeting of the Consortium Schools is this upcoming Monday and/or Tuesday the 9th/10th of March, and that I would be receiving a fellowship decision after that... But, a lot of the schools haven't released decisions yet, and won't release decisions until after that date, for example UT Austin has a March 24th admissions decision release date. So how do schools decide fellowships if they haven't even officially accepted/denied you yet? Any idea? Thanks everyone!

from reading last years thread - looks like every school handles it differently. They know who they are accepting for CGSM before the go to the draft. Now it's a matter of when do they announce it. Some will go ahead and announce AHEAD of the published date for non-cgsm and others will wait till that date if it's close to the draft date. From 2014 - seems fellowship notifications spanned from the draft day till about a week later.

Thank you! From what you've read, do schools announce fellowships or does the Consortium? Also, will the Consortium tell us if we have been admitted into the Consortium before the draft?

The school will tell you (they are the ones actually giving the scholarship) - sometimes with the admit call and other times a day to a week later. CGSM will update your application portal to tell you if you were admitted to CGSM after the draft. I'm not 100% positive of the exact date. Last email said mid march. But obvi - if you got the scholarship, you got meembership (and not vice versa)

congrats!!! did you JUST get the email? Wondering if they sent a bunch out at once or they are working their way through it throughout the day. so nervous. Now the question is - Cornell or Stern?

No I received it earlier, but this is the first chance I've had to post. I saw the message around 11:30am or so.

Oh, and Stern all the way! It was my top choice. Like many others, I'm just waiting on scholarship/aid to finalize.

weird thing is I went through last year's thread again..and only 1 person posted about being admitted to stern (and he was talking about a friend who didn't use gmatclub). No posts about WL or denials either so don't know if they do it at once or rolling. Weird....so i can't tell if it's WL or worse for me. Well Ross is next week! and supposedly USC starts next week too although given their recent timing, I don't think that's likely. The end is in sight! Ok, i think I should try and stay off the internet for the rest of the day/weekend. Good luck guys! Hope to come back and read more admits. And don't forget to start working on your FAFSA. Even if you get the fellowship it only covers tuition!
