Hello everyone!
I am a new member, and will be attempting the GMAT at the end of October, 2006. I have read through various posts and seen a variety of opinions on how to begin studying, what materials to use, and how much time to spend.
The forum seems VERY useful, and I will be using it often to help me achieve a 700+.
I just came from the library and picked up a Kaplan GMAT 800 prep book published in 2002 and the Kaplan GMAT Fifth Edition (Preparation through 2003). I understand these are old books, but I thought it would be a good place to start to just familiarize myself with the types of questions on the exam. I will work through the questions finding my strong and weak points. After completing these books, I plan to purchase the
OG and Manhattan Sentence Correction and working through those. In addition, I will be working on problems in the forums. Will there be a 12th edition for the
OG coming out soon?
Have I started off on the right foot, or am I missing something? It seems there are so many different types of materials and ways to study for the GMAT. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know for some of you, answering these typical questions may seem redundant, and I apologize. Just know that any response to my post would be taken with sincere appreciation for your time.
Thank you!!
