I was thrown off by the "average" being in there. I thought one needed hard numbers to solve this equation. Guess not.

Given # of books sold = 15000

S1: Given # of attendees = 4000; Not Sufficient.
S2: Given 3m+5f = 15000; Need another equation to solve this

S1 & S2 : m+f = 4000, 3m+5f =15000 Can Solve. Sufficient.

Answer : C
