Re: The strand fills with water during the rainy season that the [#permalink]
I think it should be "D".

We need 'that' a restrictive clause to point to "conditions", "conditions are enabling something".

A,B,C - don't show that condition is causing something. Condition is shown as byproduct.
E - Simply out.

Zoom, if possible, can you please tell the source of this SC?

Confused between A and D
conditions enabling trees to grow -- nothing wrong with usage of present participle.

Only proplem that I have with D is
D. conditions that enable the trees to grow --> which trees are we taking here??

So I pick A.

It`s idiomatic to say conditions for v~ing.

For example: Hokkaido`s champagne power and wide slopes create perfect conditions for (spring) snowboarding.

(C) is clear and concise.

In the example, snowboarding is a gerund... in the question it is a verb in present participle...

Will go with D.
The choice is between A or D.

I think the that is required to introduce the restrictive clause.

I am confused among A,D, and E, although I prefer A most.

The reason that I think E is okay is that 'that' can be used as 'where'.
Am I wrong?

D for me.
Restrictive clause is needed to qualify conditions.

Zoom - OA please?

It's between C and D.
In D, presence of definite article "the" is not clear to me.
I am going with C.

D is just too wordy. C conveys the same meaning in a much more concise manner.

Zoom, can we get the OA for this one?

OA please..

I have to choose between B and D. I choose D.. "conditions for trees to grow" or "conditions for growing trees" are wrong. Because we usually say conditions necessary for trees to grow or conditions necessary for groiwng trees..
Any one agrees ??
