Hi everyone,
These are my scores for all the MGMAT CATs I have taken in the past 3 weeks under proper testing conditions:

MGMAT CAT 1 600 (V35, Q37)
MGMAT CAT 2 640 (V34, Q44)
MGMAT CAT 3 650 (V40, Q38)
MGMAT CAT 4 650 (V34, Q45)
MGMAT CAT 5 630 (V32, Q44)
MGMAT CAT 6 640 (V35, Q42)

My target score is 680-700. Because of my applications deadline, I'll sit for my first official GMAT on 30th November.

I'm very concerned about my score. It seems like my score has stabalized to a 640.

The resources I have used are practice sheets for quant (I received from a class I joined which has a mix of 600-700 and 700-800 level questions), OG 11 and OG 18 (for verbal), and Manhattan SC and RC.

I've been studying religiously since August. Sometimes 1-2 hours per day and somedays even more (4+ hours)

Please guide me on what to do. Most importantly, is it possible to improve to a 680-700 in 12 days if I work on the weak areas identified by MGMAT assessment reports? I haven't taken the GMAT Prep 1 & 2 yet. I'm trying to save them for a few days before the exam.

Thanks a lot!

P.S. I see a lot of people around here who have improved their scores dramatically. Is it possible to do that since I've studied a lot already and feel as if this is the limit of my aptitude? I was expecting to score a lot more in my MGMAT mocks. :(

MGMAT test are tougher than actual GMAT test.
Take the official GMAT practice exam, it will more accurate picture of your state of preparedness for the exam.

Hi thefinancegal,

The MGMAT CATs are generally regarded as being a bit tougher than the real Exam, so it's certainly possible that your 'ability level' is higher than 640. That having been said, you admit to recognizing some questions on this Official CAT - and seeing even a few 'repeat' questions can throw off the Scoring Algorithm as well as the 'realism' of the experience, meaning that your pacing, stress and energy levels will all be 'better' than they normally would be.

Since your Official Exam is in 10 days - and it sounds as if you are set on keeping that date - you have to be careful about trying to 'cram' too much studying into this last 1.5 weeks. You should certainly focus on continuing to hone your skills, but you should plan to get some extra rest, so that you can go into Test Day calm, clear-headed and ready to work.
