Hi Everyone!

Google recently released Auto-Ads feature that simplifies advertising management and helps support the site without human intervention. We got contacted by Google to try it out and we just enabled auto ads on the Site. Auto ads means that google chooses the ad, its size, and the placement - it can be anywhere... which can be concerning potentially. I hope my concerns are completely unwarranted.

However, If you do see google ads being disruptive or problematic, can you please report it here? If possible include a screenshot please!

Disruptive ads are appearing everytime whenever I am solving a question on GMAT Club. Attached is the screenshot

Thank you! Nice ad :)

Just a quick note that the content of the ads is and controlled by Google - we have had google ads pretty much since they came out, so the content is not really controlled and likely will show up either way (except we have not had that ad size which is probably why you have not seen it). Can you post a screenshot with the placement rather?

Hi bb,
I can see advertisements on the panel that has the username and other related details such as Joined date, posts etc.
I checked for a few pages in which I saw around 1-3 advertisements per page and the number of advertisements seems to depend on the number of posts on that page.
The length of the advertisement panel has increased the length of the individual posts and thus users will have to scroll more, probably causing some annoyance to users.
Also, it might cause alignment issues, for which I have attached another screenshot.

I am facing the same problem as mentioned by Skywalker18 very unattractive and disturbing ads are appearing on all of the Left panel.

Hi bb,

The google ad has displaced the author of the post by quite a margin. Maybe this could be disruptive as everyone is used to seeing the post author next to the post. Not sure how much of an issue this could be but I found it unusual.

Added another screen capture where the ad itself is not showing but nevertheless the displacement of the author to the bottom of the post is there. Maybe ad has blocked the space or it has not loaded?

+1. Exactly what I wanted to inform as well. Since the ads are pushing the author details to the bottom, it is difficult, if not impossible, to make out who has posted. Interestingly bb, ALL your posts I have gone through till now have been hit :tongue_opt1 I think Google Ads is trying to usurp you :-D
