The OA and OE from the OG11 doesn`t see it that way...

OE Ver batem from the OG:

(1) From this it is known that n is a non-zero integer, and since z^n=1, it follows that z is either 1 or -1...... NOT sufficient.

(2) While it is known from this that z is positive, if n were 0, any positive value of z would satisfy z^n = 1... NOT sufficient

Taken together limits z to 1.

(C)

Trixy eh? I finally got it after keying in the OE..

There is a typo here...

If z^n=1, what is the value of z?

1. z should be n is a nonzero integer
2. z>0

Thanks for the encouragement gmatornot. Actually, all I want to do is break a 600. No super high expectations because I am not a wizard at Q. Just been consistently doing problems from this website and textbooks (OG and Kaplan) while making/reviewing a categorized error log. My last score was a 590 (Q40 V30), not quite enough to get into my target school (600 mean) so it`s time to fight for that last inch! See you in the forum.
