Hey guys
I have a question concerning GMAT preparation. I studied myself for the last six weeks fulltime, but still not satisfied with my score. I rescheldued my appointment to next month, so I have got another 4 weeks. I am looking for an online preparation program to increase my score in the 4 weeks. I thought of prepscholar GMAT or examPAL. Maybe some of you can help my with advices and recommandations.
Thanks a lot
Hi MaxiLou,
A considerable improvement of GMAT score in 4 weeks is difficult but is definitely possible with significant effort. Let me share a few insights on how to do that.As you have a time constraint, a generic plan would not suffice in your case. You would be needing a more personalized study plan. By personalized, I mean a plan which
- takes into account the number of hours you can dedicate in a week and the approximate GMAT date and creates a study plan based on that.
- provides you with weekly tasks and has clear deadlines.
And the online course you choose must help you understand the concepts and also teach you the right methodology to solve questions. Because GMAT tests the application of concepts, it is really important to know the right methodology. And to achieve a 700+ score, it is important to focus on your weaker areas, work on them and convert them into your strengths. So, the course has to let you identify your weaker areas and help you work on them.
How do you learn the right methodology?
The best way to learn the right methodology is to refer to the detailed solutions and then compare the right approach with yours. This will help you understand where you are going wrong and will help you bridge the gap. As GMAT tests only specific types of questions, it is really important to know the right methodology to solve them. The course you choose has to help you solve GMAT like questions and help you understand the right methodology to solve them by providing the detailed solutions.
The best way to evaluate an online course is by taking the free trial of it. I would recommend you to do the same before taking the decision. You can also refer to the
