Hey
Admissionado, thanks for looking at my profile.
White Guy with a 337 GRE (168V/169Q/5 AWA) 3.85 GPA from Wesleyan in CT
2 years work experience, 6 months as a website manager selling event tickets, 1.75 years as a poker dealer with additional responsibilities as a union representative and co-product manager for my company's poker app.
ECs as a soccer referee, semi-professional jazz musician, and content creator for a non-profit aiming to teach 1,000,000 women how to play poker.
I want to use the MBA to switch into brand management in CPG or general marketing in the gaming industry.
Target Schools: Kellogg, Wharton, HBS (if realistic), University of Washington (I'd like to stay in Seattle,) Booth, Yale.
I'm planning on applying in 2022 to get more experience and avoid next year's bloodbath. I plan on switching jobs soon into a more traditional marketing function to smooth the transition after my MBA. What types of next job do you think are both achievable for me and impressive on an application? Are all marketing jobs created equal in the eyes of the adcom? Should I go for Marketing Coordinator/ABM at a small company or a more technical marketing job at a company like Amazon?
Thanks in advance,
Pokerhauntus
