Hi SG2017,

If the 5-year 'validation period' for your Official Score expires in August of 2022, then there will probably be nothing for the School's Representatives to look at when/if they try to confirm your GMAT Score result. A potential 'work-around' could be available IF you were able to talk with someone in the Admissions Department in that School who would be willing to access your Official Score right NOW (or in the near future) and then document and accept that result for when you apply later on (even though it would be 6-12 months before the School's application window). It's tough to say how likely you will be to succeed in this, but the simple act of contacting the School directly to ask might help to prove how serious you are about attending this Program (which might help you to 'stand out' in the application process).

HI SG2017,

Unfortunately by the time you apply your GMAT score will be expired, so you likely will have to take the GMAT again, so you can submit a valid score. That said, you could reach out to the folks in admissions to see if there is anything they can do before going down the path of retaking the GMAT.
