Hi All,
Hope everyone is doing well. I have been doing some research around MBA programs for people with slightly higher work ex. Looking for some guidance from the others who may have a better idea.
Below is my profile:
Education - PGDM 2014; Btech ECE 2011; Certifications - CFA Charterholder
Current CTC : ~52 LPA
Age - ~37
Work-ex -
Post PGDM:
8 years work ex in Hedge Fund Services and Fintech - 5 years in Hedge fund and other buy-sides as solution architect and product development - in this 2 yeras include working as part of Boston based hedge fund as a consultant for Middle and back office solutions - and 3 years in Hedge fund managed services - collateral management, trade settlements, margin and financing, exotic derivatives p&L and product controller.
Pre- PGDM - 3 years in IT Services, Capital Market domain
Post MBA Goals:
Looking to break into more strategic and business side roles in Fintech, Hedge fund and buy side tech solution providers or other Fintech product development roles.
Reason for MBA:
Apart from the goal mentioned above, the current work role is stagnating and dont want to put in more years working in a role or place where I do not see more professional growth for myself.
GMAT Prep strategy - Dont have much time, work is pretty hectic (over of 14 hours * 5 days a week) and post June have heavy work coming in. Planning to start prep now and take the exam by June end July 1st week.
Question - How does the profile suit into the current PGPX batches at IIM A? Does ISB still make sense with ~12 years of work ex (will be 12 by the time the next batch starts)? Are there other Asian programs I can target (dont want to go too far from India due to personal reasons but ready to foray into other geographies as 1 year flies by)
All candid suggestions / guidance are welcome.
Thanks
