Hi,
I am interested in gaining insights into the comparative reputations and post-MBA job opportunities associated with the MBA programs at HEC Paris and ESSEC Business School. Specifically, I would like to understand how these institutions' reputations compare and whether recruiters demonstrate a preference for graduates from one program over the other.I look forward to your responses.
Regards

KarMishh You will find lots of comparison data online. However, I can tell you that HEC Paris is certainly a tier above ESSEC for MBA education. It does not mean that ESSEC graduates do not have similar recruiting opportunities, but overall HEC Paris has a more global cohort and a stronger MBA alumni network that you can leverage in the long term.

I am saying this because I worked in France for a long time. HEC Paris is the alma mater for many in the C-suite levels in European organizations, especially in France and around (from across HEC Executive MBA, MBA, and MiMs). Therefore, overall, there is more prestige attached to the brand in comparison to ESSEC, which has traditionally been focused only on France. If you are a Francophone, either is a good choice, but for French people, HEC Paris is just another level, even above INSEAD.

Thanks for replying MBAGuide , do you think with a 680 I can apply to INSEAD/HEC fairly confidently? given that other aspects of the application are decent. I checked on HEC's website the average gmat for class of 2022 was 690.

KarMishh your work profile is going to be as important as your GMAT. Since you didnot mention about it, hard to make a judgement regarding the level of confidence you should have for applying to HEC and INSEAD.
