I have taken two CAT's and I am curious as to whether these tests have a higher percentage of difficult questions then the real thing. I know that the difficulty is determined by the number of questions you get right but from what I have seen the practice tests dont follow this pattern. It seems that there are very few easy to medium questions and mostly difficult questions.
I have taken a GMAT CAT and a
MGMAT CAT.
The
MGMAT question difficulty rating put more then 90% of the questions as 600-800 difficulty. Is this indicative of the real test or will there be more 500 level questions.
Another reason I ask is because I am going through
the Official Guide and the paper tests that are released by GMAT and the questions from start to finish seem much easier.
Also, are the
MGMAT CAT's considered easier or more difficult then the real thing. Today I scored a 710 and want to know if this is representative.
Nice, 710 on any
MGMAT CAT is very good. I could never break the 700 barrier on my
MGMAT CAT's. (690 was the highest).
Math is just too hard on
MGMAT CAT's. Some are not so hard, but take way too much time to solve. However they are good practice. Verbal is a bit iffy sometimes. RC's can be much longer than normal.
Very few of the
OG probs are among the hardest you will find on the real GMAT. (some of the very last problems are indicative of the harder problems). The diagnostic at the begining is pretty good practice.
GMATPrep is the best. I thought it was identical to my GMAT, cept for my crappy verbal score! But i didn't see the problems more or less difficult.
