SC in OG are very similar to the actual GMAT SC. You should get at least 90% correct if you want to have a high verbal score. Keep an error log of the questions you missed and go back to them after some time has passed. You should know exactly why you missed any given question and regurgitate the given explanations.

dear tapsemi...
take it easy ... sometimes U may have just been very bent on doing these SC's that they U lost the touch and the foucs.. there could be as many reasons and factors.. U know them better than anyone...just keep in mind one thing ..
when something gets difficult ''sometimes fighting too hard may help us loose only more'' so take it easy breathe a little out of it ... take a break from the senetnces for a while forget them and then get back to them with afresh look and a different approach... for get the old approach if does not help U get better means there is something wrong or may be U did not know how to use the approach' ...jus relax...
few things I would wana say if U don't mind...
#1) treat the Sentence as a whole and not as a part ....read the whole sentence and then try finding the ''weak-link'' U see , only when we have a whole some approach may be we can get an idea as to where the mistake lies...
#2) subject-verb, comparision,idiomatic expressionz , parallel strcuture ,tensez , singular-plural , redundancy... are few important
aspects one should keep in mind as one approaches the SC's.
#3)watch for the 2/3 split approach eliminate the ones that are not correct in terms of any of the above mentioned grammatical structure...
#4)when U have found the 'right' ans acccording to ur ability.. club the ans with the non-underlined part and re-read the whole...
#5) any more things U got let me know I m not perfect too and I need some advice If U can give... :-D
hope that helps!
Have fun
