Who found themselves scoring higher on real gmat than practice?

I scored in the mid 500s on practice kaplan tests and scored a 650 on the first GMAT. I have yet to retake.

I've also heard it is typical of Kaplan's scoring because it's just bad. Anyone bother telling Kaplan their scoring system isn't very good?

Makes sense...I've heard Kaplan sucks as well...Anyone score higher than what they did on GMATPrep?

I did. I scored 710-730 on GMATpreps first pass and 770 on actual.

Tarmac, what do you believe impacted such a difference? Do you think GMATPrep is just harder than the real thing, or you were pumped for the real thing?

Honestly, I think I was just pumped up. I didn't learn much new material in the week before the actual test.

Wow, I didn't know that adrenaline was worth 40-60 on GMAT. :wink:

I did. My range of gmatprep was from 540 to 760, most of them around 640-680. Actial thing was 690.

Opposite. I was scoring 720-740 on GMATPrep and Manhattan but only got a 700 on the actual test. Maybe its because I had to reschedule the test a month early due to international travel for work and only had one day to mentally prepare....probably bombed because of the stress!

My GMATPrep scores were pretty comparable to my eventual GMAT score. My last 4 GMATPreps were 760, 760, 770, and 760 and I eventually scored 760 on the real thing.
