I totally had to guess on a few questions...and I barely made it at the end and had to do some random guesses. I completely botched the quant, by throwing off my pacing in the beginning. I know with another two-three questions correct I would have had a 680+, and probably would have been content. I'm shooting for a 700. Question is can I do it in the next 90 days?

you don't need 90 days, your 660 first time score shows that you are almost there, you just need to practice your pacing gameplan better, but you don't need three months to do it.

One little push buddy. 680 660 nearly identical. 1 point higher in V and 6 points higher in Q and you'll be in 700+ land.

Of course the difficulty level of the question matters, but how many more questions right would have gave me a 47 quant? I'm thinking like only 2-3 more question and I would have had a 47 Q?

What was crazy was most of the questions I saw on the test, were nothing like I studied. I had practiced all these hard level questions, and all I saw were a bunch of interest/profit questions I feel. I suck at basic arithmetic, so I think that also impacted things.

So I've been on the board forever...but never done the Gmatclub challenges...would you recommend these challenges over any other materials?

I most certainly would. But proceed with caution - these challenges can be damaging to the ego ...

Would you recommend them OVER Manhattan GMAT Questions?

Yes I would. MGMAT questions are long and a total pain in the butt to read and solve. Challenge questions are shorter - more similar to real gmat questions. Also challenge questions have all sorts of little gotchas that will force you to really pay attention (even though the questions are short) and avoid silly errors which totally kill the gmat score. You'll also be forced to learn shortcuts to solve problems, or to guess and move on for the really impossible questions.

GMAT Club challenges are great practice for your patience and concentration. The sets are pretty difficult, so leave your pride at the door. Most of the time I finished a challenge thinking I just kicked ass and ended up in the 50th or 60th percentile with anywhere from 8-15 questions incorrect. I guess it just goes to show what kind of quantitative talent we have doing these sets!
