Higher MGMAT versus GMAT Prep Scores

Higher MGMAT versus GMAT Prep Scores [#permalink] New post   22 Jun 2008, 17:01
My MGMAT scores tend to be around 50 points higher than my GMAT Prep scores. This seems odd based on the scores others have reported. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please let me know if you have taken the actual exam and if your real score was more in line with MGMAT or GMAT Prep.

After taking a few MGMAT CATS and then the Gmatprep, both scores were similar (early on they were different). My actual exam score was a tad lower than both.

There are so many variables that play into how you score on exam day (your own testing style, stress, how experimentals throw you off) that you really cant accurately predict your score. Generally, Gmatprep have been more accurate with the people on this forum so keep that in mind. Some people score higher than their practices, some lower.

My final MGMAT practice: 720

My second Gmatprep practice: 740

My actual exam score: 700

Most people seem to do better on GMATprep than MGMAT cat because the quant is easier on GMATprep. You're the second person I've seen who scored higher on MGMAT.

3/29/2008 PR 660 (Q43, V39)
4/13/2008 MGMAT 640 (Q40, V37)
4/26/2008 MGMAT 650 (Q44, V35)
5/11/2008 GMATPrep 740 (Q46, V46)
5/29/2008 MGMAT 430 (Q44, V4) (skipped verbal)
5/31/2008 GMATPrep 760 (Q49, V45)
6/17/2008 GMAT 720 (Q47, V42)
