another question i have is whether the questions in the OG get more difficult as you get towards the end or are they all supposed to be one difficulty level?

Yes farney, In OG-11 the questions are arranged in the ascending order of difficulty. Generally the last one third of questions in math section are very important

I got a 48 on the quant section and I'd say that the majority of the questions I got were about on par with the last 1/3 of questions in each of the official books.

Re: OG11 - Quick question [#permalink]
Here is what I found. The official guide (containing both Verbal and Quant) Ed 10 has an overlap of questions with the official guide Ed 11 for verbal and quantitative. So if you already have combined OG Ed 10, do not buy separate Ed.11 books. Instead buy combined OG Ed 11 so that you can get more questions.

Hope that helps.
