I have almost 3 years in mkt and would start at almost 4.
Since younger ppl are getting admitted, i think it's worth the try, and if you've been working on a competitive and dynamic sector, then 3 years i suppose would be more than enough.

(Remember that ppl with almost no experience at all get admitted to top schools too).

3 yrs is okay, you better have some good stories to tell. 4 years is better.

this is regardless of what field you did.

basically it goes 2 years borderline, 3 years okay, 4 years standard, 5 years is more than average

Do you mean from an admissions standpoint or from a recruiting standpoint? Or some other standpoint?
