I have two pms sitting in the outbox (rather than sent).

Why is that? thanks.

Only when the other person reads your email the PM's are moved to sent items ... till then it sits in the outbox

Lol ... I was surprised initiall as to why the forum was behavign strangely, and one night you checked my pm and the next moment the pm was moved to sent items .. to comfirm I checked it twice on different ocassions and then I concluded that only when the other person reads my pm it moves the item from outbox to sent item

even I have also been facing this issue. Sometimes the pm stays in outbox for 2 days or so and sometimes it is delivered in few mins.

As been stated above, you pm stays in outbox till the recipient reads the pm
