1. Not much difference. However, many Indians do score high on the quant section. We have to take a look at the list of schools you plan to apply for before telling you the final answer. In general, the GMAT score is just one element. Essays, recommendation letters and the strength of your background/application can be far more important.
2. This is a very good question. The application pool is getting younger these days. Some schools do prefer younger candidates so that they can be molded at an earlier stage of their life and there may have a higher chance for these younger applicants to make their marks professionally.
