alex.mba, can you give some links of writing the proposal for the western world?

In my application I have a choice of 4 projects to apply. From the proposed list I have choosen only one. For the rest there exists an option to propose your own projects. I have some thaughts and want to make a proposal.

Sure. Here are some links. They will give you an idea how it all suppose to be.

First, you have to read all relevant research articles that were written in the field you want to explore, and think on what hasn't been explored yet. Then you will be able to write a good proposal. It has to be something new and challenging. Also the topic supposed to be interesting to you AND your potential supervisor! It took me three months to read articles, think it all over, and write the proposal.

Feel free to ask questions.

Hi alex,
You should concentrate on your research topic rather than the methodology. Once you are very clear on the topic/research issue, you can discuss it further with the professor who is willing to take you in. You should convey to him/her why you are inclined to this topic and what contirbution your research will make to the existing body of knowldge.

Thanks, lijo. I discussed my research interests with professors at targeted schools already and I submitted my application by now. I just have to wait and see what they think of my proposal. :?: :?: :?:
