Thanks, that's what I was referring to. Doing a summer internship then firm picking up second year of tuition and/or keeping you on part-time during the second year. I understand they may ask for a 2-year post-grad employment agreement.

It varies not only by firms, MBA programs but also timing. Alumni from dotcom boom era told me that it was more widely during the era of 'war for talent' to see 2nd year reimbursement or signing bonus. Nowadays, most summer interns are really delighted to receive a job offer upon graduation and see this as pure success, don't mention 2nd year reimbursement.

But it is easier to ask to work part-time in 2nd year for obvious reasons. concentration, more practice to work in firm, function. Firm and school need to be in the same city to make commute work.
