Anyone else? I have completely lost momentum and motivation. I kno my essays are NOT good but i'm losing the motivation to keep going. :(

Take a day or so off, re-connect with friends and family, and give your mind a break. Remember, it's not a sprint but a marathon. I hate to break it to you but overwhelmed is what you'll feel once you get to b-school as well. Work out, read a book, play an instrument... whatever it takes to keep you grounded. We're all pulling for you!

I agree with eskimoroll.
A lot of us were in the same shoes as you were just last year. Take a breather for a day, remind yourself on why this is important to you, and tackle it before a long day of work rather then trying to pound it out after a tiring day of work.

You can do it! Don't try to perfect 1 essay before moving to the next, get some outlines and thoughts down. It'll flow much easier.

Also, if you don't already have Bodine's Great Application Essays for Business School Book I would highly recommend it.

Yup, me too. I'm spurred on by the long delay between applying and enrolling.
If we blow this off, it's 2 years till 2013 !

I overtime'd through app season last year and that already puts at least 2 years between the time I was ready and the time I can start. And I ain't gettin any younger..

We all have different writing habits but maybe try blurting out random thoughts and collect them later. Take a look at all the topics and cycle through them like a good ADD kid :)

Plus, I think it gets easier as you go along and you start to pick up momentum. I've almost finished with my second ap and it was noticeably easier than the first.

Yeah, I really had a hard time getting started because I was focused on writing a great rough draft, and then trying to tweak it to make it perfect. The going was slow.

I've switched modes now and I'm really just writing and getting something on the paper, and then plan to totally re-work it once I've got something down. Things are going better now.

I certainly agree with the comment about momentum. When you get started it just gets much easier. But of course starting isn't easy either.

Gotta keep pushing man !

Definitely take some time away from the applications - if you're not doing Round 1, I would say take a week and focus on the other aspects of your life. When you come back you'll be able to think with a much fresher perspective.
