Hi everyone,

So here's my story.. Around end of February/beginning of March I decided that I would apply for a Msc. in Finance here in my country (Netherlands).. In order for me to get accepted, I need to take a gmat and score around the 80th percentile (still don't know what this is but oke).. I started studying the first two weeks of March and it went horrible.. Last time I studied math, was 6 years ago.. So as you know I need A LOT of studying as I never was really good in math.. After the first 2 weeks of studying I got really sick and it took me nearly 3 weeks to recover.. This was around the first week of April.. I started studying again and a week after I got involved in a car accident and now I'm recovering from it.. Nothing really serious fortunately but it is very difficult to move my head/neck, can you imagine how it must feel to concentrate on something like math lol.. Anyways, I'm doing better now but the deadline for applying closes at the end of June.. Which means I have less than 3 weeks to study from now if I can start studying in a week or so because right now its still difficult for me.. I will NEVER be able to take a GMAT in 3 weeks and score in the 80th percentile since I'm horrible in Math.. What should I do? I really want to do that Msc. and I'm really sad and worried about this..

I guess its difficult to help you if we don't know anything concrete about current strengths and weaknesses. You need to share with us what level are you right now? Did you take any diagnosis test? Diagnosis test should be able to give an idea. Did you download GMAT Prep, if not you should do so and check your level first and then share with us your QUANT VERBAL etc

Hi thanks,

I have the MGMAT and I took all the questions there during the time I had to study.. Pfff I got most questions wrong and I did the OG, the equation,inequalities and vic's part and got the easier questions right but the harder questions all wrong.. I have no clue where I am right now as regards a score indication but from the questions I got right and wrong I'd say a 500 lol.. Im just too scared to take a test cuz Im afraid it will demotivate me even more.. :(

Hi l0rrie,

It seems that you are using good prep books at least :) MGMAT should brush up your GMAT math. Based on what you said, its still hard to give you concrete advise I am afraid, although I would strongly recommend you to take a mock test! if you don't want to waste GMAT prep test for now, do one of your MGMAT Cat, it is widely accepted as relatively accurate Cat, maybe slightly difficult than GMAT prep but should be comparable with actual GMAT. MGMAT will not only measure your performance/score, but also provide you really cool tools to analyze your performance! So do take advantage of that! You will know your strengths and weaknesses after that! Hope it helps!

And dont be scared! :) The more you practice, the easier it gets!
