Hello GMAT Club! It has been a while since I have asked for input on something but I feel now would be a great opportunity to get input. I am interested in potentially pursuing a PhD in Business Administration (Finance or MIS). By the time that I apply, I will have passed the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66. I currently work in the Financial Services industry and all prior research work was in the biology field.
Profile:
-MS in Quantitative Management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business (Expected May 2022)
-MBA and BS in Biology from smaller state schools (4.0 MBA GPA and 3.1 Undergrad GPA)
My GMAT was below 700 so I would take it again in hopes of scoring 720+.
I know for PhD programs, work experience is not as big as it is for MBA programs but I was an Assistant Vice President of a bank before moving into my current position in Wealth Management.
If there is anything else that would be beneficial to know, just let me know and I will give the information. Thanks!
