you’re right - all is the the overlap of all three sets. Both is the overlap of any two sets (minus the overlap of all three).

like I understand in this case the value will have to be 22 to get x(min) =0. But if we had to find the maximum value of n(Exactly two sets) given total = 30 ; n(A) = 15 ; n(B) = 17; and n(C) = 20

thank you, I was thinking about this formula but didnt get through the question well, so I didnt know the min of all 3 equal to it should be the maxium of the both !!
