Which of the following best completes the passage below?

Since an experienced, top-rated race car driver is now constantly losing a race he once won before he acquired a certain race car, he plans to junk the race car he is currently using and replace it with a better model. The improved and new race car model is more likely to improve the race car driver's performance than any other factor because

A. the driver may have new personal problems that have nothing to do with his car's performance

B. races tend to emphasize quality of the car over quality of the driver

C. decisions to switch race cars should be based on that particular model's success rate

D. the driver may not necessarily have been able to overcome other obstacles during recent races

E. improved race cars are very expensive and difficult for many teams to afford

Prethink:
why by just changing car driver will improve driver's performance? Must be something to do with the Car as driver has not upscale himself
A. the driver may have new personal problems that have nothing to do with his car's performance
-> If he has these problem, he can't improve his performance

B. races tend to emphasize quality of the car over quality of the driver
-> Since quality of driver has not changed, if quality of car is what matters, this argument makes sense

C. decisions to switch race cars should be based on that particular model's success rate
-> We don't know this particular model success rate, so can't comment

D. the driver may not necessarily have been able to overcome other obstacles during recent races
->Agreed, but driver is still the same only thing changed was car, so we can't use this thought

E. improved race cars are very expensive and difficult for many teams to afford
->Close, many doesn't mean ALL. So even if one team can buy then it will be able to compete
