The argument is giving us a context that employees are very carefully hired in the Company.

Also company's output is Not satisfactory , it means something else is wrong but NOT The employees.

Let's find out

(A) the evaluation process used by Company T to hire new employees should be abolished in favor of another method-- NO .. Argument is clearly saying the evaluation process is the TESTED METHOD,--INCORRECT

(B) it will not be before long it finds itself facing the prospect of bankruptcy-- NO , OUTPUT IS BELOW SATISFACTION-- HERE WE DONT KNOW WHAT IS THE SATISFACTION LEVEL OF THE COMPANY , WHAT IF ITS SET VERY VERY HIGH --- so we can't say that company might go bankrupt.--- INCORRECT

(C) the profits earned in previous years were used in improving the company's employee screening process-- OUT OF SCOPE-- WE DONT KNOW THAT

(D) Company T's management should terminate the contracts of any employees that were hired using the current evaluation system-- WHAT IF TERMINATION OF CONTRACT REDUCE THE OUTPUT FURTHER.MOREOVER EMPLOYEES ARE HIRED VERY CAREFULLY-- INCORRECT

(E) it is not so much the individual attributes of each employee, but more likely the cooperation between them or the proper working conditions that Company T is lacking--- CORRECT, SINCE WE KNOW EMPLOYEES ARE HIRED CAREFULLY , BUT IT MIGHT BE POSSIBLE THAT THEY DONT COOPERATE TOGETHER VERY WELL OR WORKING CONDITION ARE NOT VERY GOOD OR FAVORABLE WHICH RESULTS IN LOWER OUTPUT

IMO E

Answer: Option E

Argument: Company uses the tested method which includes various examinations but still the Company's output rate is far from the expected. There must be some external factors or the company itself has some problems or lacks some essentials.

(A) the evaluation process used by Company T to hire new employees should be abolished in favor of another method
=> Argument didn't prove that the "evaluation process" is the reason for low output rate and as it is a tested method, finding another method will add further costs, efforts and gives no guarantee for success.

(B) it will not be before long it finds itself facing the prospect of bankruptcy
=> May or may not. No mention of bankruptcy.

(C) the profits earned in previous years were used in improving the company's employee screening process
=> Not enough information to conclude this. Not relevant

(D) Company T's management should terminate the contracts of any employees that were hired using the current evaluation system
=> No proof that employees are the reason for the low output rate. Terminating employees may further decrease the output rate due to a lack of employee strength.

(E) it is not so much the individual attributes of each employee, but more likely the cooperation between them or the proper working conditions that Company T is lacking
=> CORRECT. Lack of proper working conditions or cooperation between employees due to the Company itself is a more appropriate reason for the output rate not meeting the expectation.

Premise : 1. The evaluation process used by company T is a tested method for hiring high-quality personnel.
2. Company T's output rates are far from satisfactory

Ques : Which of the following best completes the passage below?
Company T's output rates are far from satisfactory so it can be concluded that __________.

Pre-thinking : We need to fill up the underlined portion which is the main conclusion of the passage.
The argument invariably tells that the hiring process is a tested method. Hence, the employees selected through this hiring process will have high performance.
The argument also tells that the output of company T are from satisfactory, this means that though the employees are best for the work there are other issues because of which the output is low.

Lets analyse our options now :
(A) the evaluation process used by Company T to hire new employees should be abolished in favor of another method - Incorrect as it is already establisehed in the argument that the evaluation process is a tested one.

(B) it will not be before long it finds itself facing the prospect of bankruptcy - Incorrect as we really do not know whether the company is running in losses. The argument only states that the output is far from satisfactory.

(C) the profits earned in previous years were used in improving the company's employee screening process - Incorrect as this is new information and we are supposed to come to the conclusion based on information from the argument.

(D) Company T's management should terminate the contracts of any employees that were hired using the current evaluation system - Incorrect as it has already been mentioned in the argument that the process is a tested one, hence the candidates selected from their are good.

(E) it is not so much the individual attributes of each employee, but more likely the cooperation between them or the proper working conditions that Company T is lacking - Correct as this conclusion points that it it not the employee but something else which is causing poor performance.

IMO , E .

Company T's output rates are far from satisfactory so it can be concluded that __________.

If The evaluation process s is a tested method for hiring high-quality personnel , so no problem in individual employee . There must be some other factor attributing to the failures of the company T .

(A) the evaluation process used by Company T to hire new employees should be abolished in favor of another method

-- In psg given that the evaluation process is tested . SO cannot doubt on premise .. so out

(B) it will not be before long it finds itself facing the prospect of bankruptcy
-- May be true . But not necessarily true . so out

(C) the profits earned in previous years were used in improving the company's employee screening process

-- May be true . But not necessarily true . so out

(D) Company T's management should terminate the contracts of any employees that were hired using the current evaluation system
-- No reason to terminate .Since there were good as tested by the evaluation process . OUT

(E) it is not so much the individual attributes of each employee, but more likely the cooperation between them or the proper working conditions that Company T is lacking
-- Correct

OFFICIAL EXPLANATION

Which of the following best completes the passage below?

The management of Company T is very particular about the employees it hires. The evaluation process used with potential employees is a tested method for hiring high-quality personnel, and includes at least two interviews along with various examinations. Company T's output rates are far from satisfactory so it can be concluded that __________.

(A) the evaluation process used by Company T to hire new employees should be abolished in favor of another method

Incorrect.

This is a "Complete the Argument" format question. The missing argument part follows the conclusion word concluded which indicates that it is the conclusion and that this is an Inference question:

Premise A: Company T's managers make sure they hire the right employees
    +
Premise B: the method used to choose employees has been tested and is very detailed
    +
Premise C: the company's outputs are unsatisfactory
    =
    Conclusion: ?

This answer choice contradicts the second premise. We are told that the evaluation process currently used by the company has been tested and produces excellent results - we cannot infer from this that is must be abandoned.

(B) it will not be before long it finds itself facing the prospect of bankruptcy

Incorrect.

This conclusion reaches too far beyond of the premises. The fact that Company T's output is unsatisfactory at the moment does not immediately imply that it will soon be bankrupt (this would require an assumption). Maybe Company T hits a slight slump in production once every 5 years, and thereafter continues business at its usual rate - we just don't know.

(C) the profits earned in previous years were used in improving the company's employee screening process

Incorrect.

This answer choice present a new premise, and not a conclusion. There is no data in the argument about the profits of previous years or Company T's use of them. The fact that the current screening process is very efficient also does not indicate it was made so using company profits.

(D) Company T's management should terminate the contracts of any employees that were hired using the current evaluation system

Incorrect.

This conclusion contradicts one of the premises in the argument. Since the evaluation process has been tested and produces goos results, we have no reason to infer that the cause of the low output has anything to do with Company T's employees' abilities or suitability.

(E) it is not so much the individual attributes of each employee, but more likely the cooperation between them or the proper working conditions that Company T is lacking

This answer choice presents a logical conclusion to the argument. According to the premises, it is extremely likely that Company T's employees are quite competent and suitable for their positions. So what could the reason for the low output be? Everything else - the nature of their work with one another and their working conditions.

(B) it will not be before long it finds itself facing the prospect of bankruptcy Bankruptcy is OOS

(C) the profits earned in previous years were used in improving the company's employee screening process OOS

(D) Company T's management should terminate the contracts of any employees that were hired using the current evaluation system Irrelevant

(E) it is not so much the individual attributes of each employee, but more likely the cooperation between them or the proper working conditions that Company T is lacking Spot on this offers evidence that does not attack the fact (hired employees are incompetent) and still manages to prove why the output levels are so low

(A) the evaluation process used by Company T to hire new employees should be abolished in favor of another method - From the passage, we know that the hiring policy is a proven method that attracts high quality employees. Hence, eliminating this hiring policy may actually turn out to be counterproductive for Company T

(B) it will not be before long it finds itself facing the prospect of bankruptcy
- the passage does not provide us with information that we can use to judge the 'prospect of bankruptcy' for Company T.

(C) the profits earned in previous years were used in improving the company's employee screening process
- we cannot make this inference from the information provided in the passage.

(D) Company T's management should terminate the contracts of any employees that were hired using the current evaluation system
- From the passage, we know that the hiring policy is a proven method that attracts high quality employees. Terminating the contracts of such employees would hurt Company T.

(E) it is not so much the individual attributes of each employee, but more likely the cooperation between them or the proper working conditions that Company T is lacking - (E) helps explain why the output rates are unsatisfactory, despite following a proven hiring policy (that attracts high quality employees). Hence, (E) is the right answer choice.
