Re: What is the greatest five-digit positive integer which when divided by [#permalink]
LCM of 8, 9, 10

=> 8 = 2^3
=> 9 = 3^2
=> 10 = 2*5

LCM = 2^3*3^2*5= 360

The greatest 5 digit number is 99999

When 99999 is divided by 360 the remainder would be = 279

So, the greatest 5 digit number divisible by 360 = 99999-279 = 99720

To leave the remainder 3, add 3 in 99720

So the number would be 99723.
