As per the information given in the questions stem,
We know, X+2X+3X=180 (i.e. Sum of angles in a △ is 180)
So, 6X=180
=> X=30. We now know that △RWV is a 30-60-90 triangle. We can also find the respective side, as RV=2
So, RW=1/2(RV)= 1 and WV= √3(RW)= √3
Therefore, to find the perimeter, we now need the values for sides TV, RS, and ST

Statement I: The perimeter of ΔRST is 3+3√3
The data is clearly insufficient, as we have no way to determine the value of sides TV, RS, and ST. Eliminate A,D

Statement II: RW = RS = ST = TV

We, already know that RW=1, and we wanted to find the value of sides TV, RS, and ST
This statement gives us all the information required to find the unique value of the perimeter.
Hence, sufficient.
Correct Answer Option B

What is the perimeter of the 5-sided figure RSTVW shown above?

(1) The perimeter of ΔRST is \(3 + \sqrt{3}\).
(2) RW = RS = ST = TV

(1) We can't determine the perimeter of the other sides; INSUFFICIENT.

(2) Triangle RWV is a 30:60:90 right triangle, with sides \(1: \sqrt{3}: 2\). We can determine the perimeter, which is \(4 + \sqrt{3}\). SUFFICIENT.

Answer is B.

Hi Bunuel,
isn't the statement 1 wrong ? Perimeter of triangle should be 2+ underroot 3 ?
Thanks
