Hi..

Clearly each statement alone is insufficient , so let's see combined

y=x-2 or x=y+2
Also $$x^3=y+2..........so...x=x^3.....x^3-x=0.....x(x^2-1)=0$$
So x can be 0,1 or -1
And for X=0, y =x-2=-2.... Irrespective of y, xy=0
x=1, y=1-2=-1..xy=-1
