Which of the following inequalities holds if \(3.24<x<5.36\)?

A. \(|x+4.3|<1.06\)

B. \(|x-4.3|<1.06\)

C. \(|x-2.1|<0.53\)

D. \(|x+2.1|<0.53\)

E. \(|x-2.1|<1.06\)

POE

Since X is positive and all the equations will always be positive we can safely eliminate Options were x is added to a number as the results will be greater and will be satisfy the equations. Thus Option A and D eliminate.

From the inequality we can say that minimum value of X is 3.25 and Maximum value of X is 5.35.
Using these as the values of X we can try out the remaining 3 equation. Only option B satisfies the equation.

Thus B is correct.
