Which one of the following is the solution of the system of equations given?

$$x + 2*y = 7$$ -------------- equation 1
$$x + y = 4$$ -------------- equation 2

equation 1 - equation 2 implies y = 3
Substituting y=3 in equation 2 implies x =1
(x,y) = (1,3)
Option C is correct

y = 3.

x = 1.

Deducting 1st equation from the 2nd.
