I think MGMAT is definitely harder, especially the math.
I've taken GMATPrep and MGMAT with not much studying so far (my MGMAT classes start this sunday):

GMATPrep - 700 (Q: 46, V: 40)
MGMAT 1 - 640 (Q: 44, V: 34)

I definitely need to step up on Verbal.

Hi All,

I have seen some posts recently on people who consistently scored 700+ on MGMAT and ends up with 650- on the real thing. Check the latest post:

Do you think MGMAT scores are inflated?

Best regards,

Well... sometimes you are just not in a mood.

I have attempted 4 MGMAT tests and scored from 640 to 710 with average of 670-680. On GMAT prep 1, my score was 710 and I took the GMAT prep 2 a few days later with more preparation and I got a 640 which is not representative of my ability.

Someone said a few days back in another thread that no one is guaranteed to score a 700+ on a given day and I would agree with the statement to some extent. Your attitude at any given day and your mental state make a huge impact on your score - just 3-4 careless mistakes is all it takes to drag you down from 720 to 660.

Generally I found MGMAT much harder than GMAT prep but not any harder than old Power prep tests.

Thanks
