Re: 710 GMAT vs 329 GRE (Which score to use for B-school applications) [#permalink]
I think just use your gre 329. Most schools regard Q and V as much more important than AWA.

But if you are to target management consulting career after business school, better retake your gmat.

Hi..
I think, your low score in analytical writing is not going to make any difference. V160 is a good score and 28/30 in TOEFL writing on top of that. Remember, the admit chances depend upon the overall strength of your application. As per me, you should not worry about GRE/GMAT and put your efforts in making your application stronger. Generally, schools prefer GMAT over GRE for MBA but they still accept GRE scores. It is always best to talk to adcom and explain your situation via phone or email. All the best.

I think sending email to adcom is a really solid advice. Will definitely do that!
Just asking for your opinion, do you think despite my low essay score in GRE, it will still present a stronger case then GMAT (i am expecting 4-5 essay score in GMAT based on my practice)?
Also I have 28/30 in TOEFL writing which I would be simultaneously submitting. Would that offset the low essay score in GRE?

Thanks again!
