A company offers its Zinc tablets in three different packet sizes - small, medium and large - respectively. If Radhika bought at least one packet of each type, how many packets of the 'small' sized type did she buy?
(1) Ratio of number of small sized packets to the number of large sized packets bought by Radhika was 3:2.
(2) Number of medium sized packets bought by Radhika was 15 more than that of the large sized packets, and was 10 more than that of the small sized packets.
Statement 1- We only get the ratio of number of small packets to large packets. This statement is insufficient.
Statement 2-
Let the number of Small packets, Medium packets and Large packets be x,y and z respectively
According to the statement- y=z+15 and y=x+10
=> z+15=x+10, x-z=5
Thus Statement 2 is also not sufficient
Combining Statement 1 and 2,
x:z=3:2
=>x=3/2z
Using the above in equation in Statement 2-
3/2x-x=5
Therefore x=10
Answer- C
