A typist types one page in four minutes. 1080 pages need to be typed between 1 P.M. and 2 P.M. How many typists would be needed?

(A) 60

(B) 72

(C) 90

(D) 104

(E) 108

Method to solve:

1 Page - 4 min
So, time for 1080 page = 1080x4 mins

1 hour = 60 min

total typist required = total time for 1080 pages / total time in 1 hour

=> total typist required = (1080 x 4) / 60

Ans = 72
